About Me

Hi — I'm Kevin M.

I have a master's degree in Computer and Systems Science with a specialisation in Data Communication Security. I have another master's in Business Administration and Management, with a specialisation in International Marketing & Management. Both are from Stockholm University.

As my portfolio below shows, I have built systems for some of Sweden's and the world's largest and leading organisations - in both the public and private sphere.

This has meant work designing and implement databases, building server-side code integrating with these databases, and front-end code using WCAG availability principles the better to present data to and gather systems data from end users.

My technology stack of choice is Vue.js written in TypeScript on the client, with Node.js or PHP on the server, and a MySQL or PostgresSQL database running on a Linux server. I have, however, also had extensive work with Java and C#, as well as with the SQL Server database and Windows servers.

I also have multi-year experience in other front-end frameworks including React.js and Angular.

I have worked in teams large and small, and led front-end teams in rewriting legacy applications towards modern architectures and presentation methods.

This I have done while working on-site, in hybrid mode or completely remotely.

After a more than 15-year career working in the Swedish IT industry, it is finally time for a new challenge, for family reasons. The destination is the Mediterranean; Italy to be precise, as depicted in the hero image. Il mio italiano non è ancora perfetto, ma sta migliorando.

When I am not employed working on a freelance project, I am likely enjoying a motorcycle ride, working on one of my ventures, or longing for the Italian sun. The goal is to do this from the Italian countryside, so my preference is for remote work.
